The body has seven chakras (spinning wheels of energy). When we are suffering from illness these become blocked.

What is a Chakra?
Chakras and their functions were first mentioned in the Vedas, ancient Hindu texts of knowledge.
Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel and it refers to the seven energy centers in our body.
These energy wheels regulate the flow of energy through our energy system. These centres open and close when we decide what to think and when we feel.
Chakras ARE NOT physical. They are aspects of consciousness in the same way that the auras are aspects of consciousness as the mind and the physical body work together.
They work through the physical body through the endocrine and the nervous system so are therefore associated with particular parts of the body.
Each sense, feeling and experience is divided into seven categories and therefore allocated to a specific chakra.
When you feel stress in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with that part of your consciousness and in the parts of the physical body.
Everything can be healed so in understanding the chakras, the healing process can begin with the body and the mind. When a person’s chakras aren't spinning properly, the physical, emotional and mental body aren't working in harmony with each other. So when a person changes something about their being, they are able to release the stress that had been creating the symptom, and are then therefore able to return to a healthy state again.
